Meet Jeff Wierda

I own Interwest Contractors, a general contractor construction company in Southwest Montana. Fifty-two years ago, my Uncle, Wes Wierda, started this construction company, and I’ve continued to build upon the foundation that he laid out. I’ve been in the construction industry for just over 28 years. 

I’m a 4th generation Montanan with a Dutch heritage, born and raised on a ranch West of Bozeman, Montana. I took an interest in building at a very early age, constantly constructing various structures on the ranch out of leftover wood scraps and materials. Then, finally, I could envision a project in my head and manifest it with my hands. I attended high school at Manhattan Christian, and it was around that time that I realized I wanted to be a builder one day. I didn’t have to wait long because I was up and running my own construction company a few years later. 

I take great pride in my work. I’m exceptionally meticulous with details and quality craftsmanship. If I don’t approve of something I’ve done, I will do it over until it’s perfect. But, after doing that enough times, I’ve learned just to do it right the first time. 

When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with my beautiful children every chance that I get. They are adults now, but I’ve enjoyed coaching them in soccer, baseball, basketball, and softball, among many other activities over the years. In addition, I enjoy volunteer work at the local soup kitchen once a month and helping out my friends, family, or those in need.
